As anAssociate II, Instrumentation & Calibration Technical Support, you will be trusted to work on installing, calibrating, testing, and repairing instruments and technologies that monitor environmental conditions within the manufacturing facility, ensuring they meet quality standards. You will also apply advanced technical skills and problem-solving abilities to support efficient operations at ourManufacturing Facility in Houston, TX!

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Tackle complex tasks and contribute to the development of innovative projects.

  • Inspect and test the operation of instruments and devices such as oscilloscopes, calipers, pressure gauges, and temperature controllers to diagnose faults.

  • Install and maintain equipment control and measurement instruments.

  • Test and measure heat, light, voltage, amperage, weight, vacuum, magnetic resistance, or various content measurements to ensure conformance with quality standards and controls.

  • Work with engineers to design and build custom instruments and control devices where required.

  • Adhere to Good Practice (GxP) regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring thorough quality control, and completing all required training.

  • Meet individual job requirements and contribute to the overall compliance of the organization by committing to continuous improvement and adherence to regulatory requirements.

What You’ll Bring to Alcon:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English

  • 3 Years of Relevant Experience

  • Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST

  • Location: Onsite

  • Travel Requirements:0 – 5%
