Job summary

Biogen is hiring a Lab Support Associate for our Milwaukee biologics drug substance facility. The role focuses on receiving and shipping samples, stability pulls, and instrument cleaning to ensure QC labs run smoothly.

You will work onsite, Monday–Friday with occasional weekends or off-shift support as needed. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, with strong data integrity and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work additional hours as needed and gown into manufacturing labs.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, track, and dispose of samples.

• Operate autoclave and glassware washers as required.
• Escort vendors onsite and maintain clean, safe laboratory conditions.
• Record test results accurately and maintain logs.

About This Role

We are seeking a Lab Support Associate to perform supportive function at our biologics drug substance manufacturing facility. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient operation of QC laboratories by receiving and shipping samples, performing timely stability pulls, cleaning and sterilization operations, and performing instrument cleaning/maintenance.

This is an onsite position, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend and off-shift support required.

What You’ll Do

• Daily execution of lab support activities, including but not limited to:
• Sample receipt, storage, tracking, and disposal
• Sample aliquoting
• Stability pull scheduling and execution
• Equipment cleaning and readiness
• Autoclave operations
• Glass wash and laboratory ware management
• Stocking of laboratory supplies and consumables
• Perform preventative maintenance (PM) activities
• Conduct visual inspections of products for defects, dimensional accuracy, and overall quality.
• Escort vendors onsite
• Perform Houskeeping duties
• Maintain clean and safe work conditions reporting problem areas to Management
• Document and record test results accurately and meticulously, maintaining detailed records of all analyses performed.
• Other duties or training as required or requested

• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and support other departments

Required Skills

• High school diploma with a minimum of 1 year as a Lab technician or Associate's degree in Biological Sciences, or related field
• Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Computer experience with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Willingness and ability to work additional hours as needed to meet department and business needsAbility to gown into manufacturing and laboratories

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience using autoclaves and Lab glass washers
• Aseptic techniques experience

Job Level: Entry Level

Additional Information

The base compensation range for this role is: $23.08-$29.81

Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
