Job summary

Constellation Energy Corp. is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Technician to inspect, test, repair and calibrate instrument systems at a nuclear plant.

You will work on reactor and turbine control equipment and radiation instrumentation, supporting reliability and safety. Candidates should have a HS diploma and a technical associates or Navy Nuclear Electric Technician background, with flexibility for shifts and NRC access.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma/GED and an Associates degree in electronics, electrical or nuclear technology.
• HS diploma/GED plus 2 years military electronics maintenance experience.
• High School Diploma/GED with 2 years as instrumentation & controls technician in an industrial facility.
• Ability to pass pre-employment testing.
• Ability to obtain and maintain nuclear site unescorted access.

Responsibilities

• Test meters and gauges in the plant.
• Perform corrective or routine maintenance on circuits.
• Maintain calibration records for instrumentation.
• Install and maintain relays in control systems at major stations.
• Test bulk power system equipment including large circuit breakers.
• Support decontamination, housekeeping, painting, and tool room duties as assigned.
• Provide training and oversight to other personnel.
• Perform emergency response duties as assigned.
• Complete an I&C Technician qualification book.
