The Associate Hospital Sales Health & Science Representative (AHSHR) is responsible for increasing product awareness, educating customers, and attaining the goals of our Business Unit through fully remote/virtual customer interactions. The AHSHR is charged with relationship development and promotional efforts with U.S. customers and accounts.

The AHSHR should possess strong business acumen and outstanding communication skills, with an aptitude to develop in-depth expertise in virtual engagement settings, establish impactful relationships, and exhibit strong promotional skills. They must understand and follow the call process for our BU, including developing pre-call plans, executing calls, and conducting post-call analyses using all available digital and virtual tools. They must be able to work independently in virtual collaboration with cross-functional internal teams. Where applicable, the AHSHR should coordinate insights, learnings, and customer approach with in-field Health & Science Representatives or Specialists who call on Accounts in overlapping geographical areas.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Engage with customers virtually, primarily from a dedicated Pfizer Site (Lake Forest), to compliantly grow the business and drive product demand by proactively providing solutions to achieve business objectives and needs.
  2. Generate product demand by educating customers and promoting the product.
  3. Build rapport with customers in a fully virtual environment; develop a methodical approach toward calls, including clear next steps and appropriate documentation; adapt approach based on opportunities and insights; use Total Hospital or Total Office call as required for the assigned BU.
  4. Understand and use approved promotional materials to support marketing messages.
  5. Utilize approved Pfizer resources to support customers, accounts, and patient needs (demonstration units), and work effectively across multiple virtual engagement platforms based on customer preferences and compliance guidelines.
  6. Integrate guidance and insights from management/support roles/technical solutions into pre-call planning; proactively plan and optimize the call environment; collaborate effectively with other Customer-Facing colleagues and team members.
  7. Master and utilize all virtual tools and resources; effectively use calendaring tools, leadership goals, and personal insights to address customer priorities.
  8. Support customers or accounts on relevant contract value opportunities and virtual in-services on delivery systems.
  9. Discuss negotiated contract terms and options where appropriate; answer on-label questions.
  10. Apply triaging protocols to connect with appropriate SMEs using digital apps; use warm transfers for real-time hand-offs to cross-functional experts.
  11. Stay current with all required training, including Compliance, and enhance skills through self-study, development programs, conferences, or training classes.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor’s degree with 0-3 years of relevant experience; OR an Associate's degree with four years of relevant experience; OR six years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Goal-oriented with a strong desire for a promotional role; core skills include customer service, initiative, planning, follow-up, work management, and problem-solving.
  3. Able to be on virtual platforms for a full day, speaking clearly and effectively.
  4. Demonstrated digital acumen.
  5. Must reside within a commutable distance to the assigned Pfizer Site (Lake Forest).
  6. Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to analyze data and draw relevant conclusions.
  7. Demonstrates change agility, accountability, and the ability to seek/receive feedback; capable of remote collaboration.
  8. Market and business acumen, stakeholder management, understanding business priorities.
  9. Ability to develop strong professional relationships in a dynamic environment.
  10. Exceptional time management skills and self-motivation.

Other Job Details:

  • Location: Selected candidate will be located at our Lake Forest site. This is not a virtual role.

The annual base salary ranges from $64,700 to $121,800, plus quarterly sales incentives. We offer comprehensive benefits, including 401(k) with Pfizer matching, paid time off, health coverage, and more. Learn more at Pfizer Candidate Site – U.S. Benefits.
