The Associate Hospital Sales Health & Science Representative (AHSHR) is responsible to increase product awareness, educate customers, and attain the goals of our Business Unit through fully remote / virtual customer interactions. The AHSHR is charged with relationship development and promotional efforts with U.S. customers and accounts.

The AHSHR should possess strong business acumen and outstanding communication skills with an aptitude to develop in-depth expertise in virtual engagement settings, establish and build impactful relationships, and exhibit strong promotional skills. They must understand and follow the call process for our BU including developing pre-call plans, executing calls, and conducting post-call analyses using all available digital and virtual tools. They must have the ability to work independently in virtual collaboration with cross-functional internal teams. Where applicable, the AHSHR should coordinate insights, learnings, and customer approach with in-field Health & Science Representatives or Specialists who call on Accounts in overlapping geographical areas.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage with customers virtually, primarily from a dedicated Pfizer Site (Lake Forest), to compliantly grow the business and drive product demand by proactively providing solutions to achieve business objectives and needs
  • Generate product demand by educating customers and promoting the product
  • Effectively build rapport with customers in a fully virtual environment; develop a methodical approach toward calls (e.g., clear next steps and appropriate documentation, managing to KPIs); adapt approach based on opportunities and insights; use Total Hospital or Total Office call as required for assigned BU
  • Understand and use approved promotional materials to support marketing messages
  • Use approved Pfizer resources to support customers, accounts, and patient needs (demonstration units) and work effectively across multiple virtual engagement platforms based on customer preferences and compliance guidelines
  • Integrate guidance and insights from management/other support roles/technical solutions (e.g., content recommendation engines) into pre-call planning; proactively plan and optimize call environment (Site location and work-from-home); collaborate effectively with other Customer-Facing (CF) colleagues and Associate Hospital Sales team members
  • Build mastery and utilization of all virtual tools and resources; effectively use calendaring tools, leadership goals, and personal insights to address customer priorities on outbound calls
  • Support customers or accounts on relevant contract value opportunities and virtual in-services on ready-to-use delivery systems
  • Discuss negotiated contract terms and options (where appropriate and with approved language); answer on-label questions
  • Apply triaging protocols to connect with appropriate SMEs using digital apps to send compliant messages for rapid responses; use warm transfers for real-time hand-offs to cross-functional experts with limitations
  • Stay current with all required training, including Compliance, and routinely enhance skills through self-study, development programs, conferences, and training classes at local and remote locations

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree with 0-3 years of relevant experience; OR an Associate's degree with four years of relevant experience; OR six years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Goal-oriented individual with a strong desire for a promotional role; core skills include customer service orientation, initiative, planning and follow-up, work management, and judgment/problem solving
  • Able to be on telephone or other virtual platforms for a full working day and speak clearly and effectively to all assigned customers
  • Demonstrated digital acumen
  • Must live within a commutable distance to the assigned Pfizer Site location (Lake Forest)
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to analyze and draw relevant conclusions from data and information
  • Demonstrates change agility, accountability, seeks feedback, and can collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams
  • Marketplace and business acumen, stakeholder management, and understanding of business priorities
  • Ability to develop strong professional relationships in a dynamic environment
  • Exceptional time management skills; intrinsically productive and scheduled, even without direct oversight

Other Job Details:

  • Additional Location Information: The selected candidate will be located at our Lake Forest site. This is not a virtual role.

The annual base salary ranges from $64,700 to $121,800. This position offers a quarterly Sales Incentive bonus, comprehensive benefits including 401(k) with Pfizer matching, paid vacation, holidays, medical leave, and health coverage. Relocation assistance may be available based on needs and eligibility.
