Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. is seeking an Associate Hardware Engineer in Pullman, WA to support Navy shipboard systems integration. You will design analog and digital circuits, produce hardware specs, and document test results while mentoring junior engineers.

You will work with a tight-knit, startup-like team within SEL’s robust company framework, delivering safe, reliable, and economical power systems for the US Navy. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Typically 2+ years in analog, digital, power, or PCB design.
• Hands-on prototyping is a plus.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills required.
• Ability to learn new skills and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and develop conventional analog and digital circuits.
• Develop hardware specifications and system-level specs.
• Write and analyze test plans; execute tests and document results.
• Prepare and maintain product documentation and project notebooks.
• Lead hardware projects of moderate complexity and coordinate with purchasing and manufacturing.
