R/GA’s Business Development team oversees our global new business pipeline. We work with nearly every discipline in nearly every one of our offices to identify, pursue, and win strategic growth opportunities. We maintain an active pipeline through our outbound efforts, evaluate inbound requests, and determine key areas for growth within our existing client relationships.

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Growth Associate to support all aspects of the new business lifecycle. This person will coordinate pitch deliverables and logistics, maintain business development assets and marketing databases, assist with client communications, and ensure the internal operations of our growth team run smoothly. You’ll collaborate closely with pitch teams, resource managers, and leadership across the network.

Here’s what you should know if you want to be an Associate, Growth & Development at R/GA:

On any given day you might

  • Coordinate proposals and pitch calendars: Organize meetings, timelines, and team responsibilities across departments.
  • Manage business development materials: Maintain a library of company credentials, proposal templates, team bios, case studies, client references, and capabilities.
  • Working knowledge of pitch documents: Draft outlines, write, proofread, and edit proposal materials in partnership with pitch leads.
  • Track growth pipeline activity: Maintain status reports and dashboards under the guidance of growth leadership.
  • Support internal systems: Maintain the global marketing and business development database and contact lists.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Partner with resource management, strategy, creative, and leadership to bring proposals to life.

  • Is organized and detail-obsessed - can manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment by mapping out complex schedules/timelines.
  • Is a strong communicator, both written and verbal, with a professional and proactive demeanor.
  • Is collaborative and energetic, and you thrive on problem-solving as part of a team.
  • Is a self-starter, quick to pick up new tools, systems, and workflows.
  • Is passionate about the intersection of business, marketing, design, and technology, with an eye on digital experiences, branding, commerce, and innovation.

You bring

  • 1-2 years of experience in business development, client services, project management, or strategy.
  • A proven ability to work in ambiguous situations and solve complex problems with clarity and creativity.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and multitasking skills.
  • Experience with basic business and productivity tools (Google Suite, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).

Bonus Points

  • If you have advertising agency experience
  • If you have experience creating business development proposals or marketing collateral
  • If you have familiarity with CRM or marketing databases
  • If you have experience with emerging technologies and AI such as Google Gemini and ChatGPT

*This role is based in NYC. Candidates must be located in the NYC area or willing to relocate before their start date. This position offers a hybrid work model, but regular in-person collaboration is expected.

The hiring range for this position is $68,000 to $76,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s applicable skills, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
