Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Associate General Counsel - Physician/Faculty Contracting.
Under the direction of the Vice President for Ambulatory Network/Associate General Counsel, the responsibility of this role is to assist the Vice President for Ambulatory Network/Associate General Counsel in providing competent, timely legal advice, assistance and service to coordinate and oversee legal activities as they relate to NYU Langone Health physician/faculty employment contracting and integration initiatives. In addition, this individual shall assist in ensuring such activities remain in compliance with applicable regulations and institutional policies related to these.
Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have admission to the New York Bar with at least five (5) years of experience in healthcare law at a law firm or in-house. Experience drafting, negotiating and advising on healthcare agreements, including employed and contracted physician arrangements and/or agreements relating to the management and operation of physician group practices. Expertise in regulatory and transactional healthcare matters. Thorough knowledge of New York State and federal healthcare laws, including Stark and Anti-Kickback laws as applied to provider contracting. Effective written and oral communication skills, strong research and legal interpretation abilities and an exceptional client service orientation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Individual must be detail-oriented and organized. They must have the ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously and meet deadlines on a self-motivated basis. Must possess the ability to work collaboratively with a wide variety of business personnel. Individual must possess well-developed communication skills, strong research and legal interpretation abilities and a strong client service orientation.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $215,477.55 - $250,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
