Meta is seeking a talented, highly motivated team player to join its Monetization Partnerships Legal team. In this role, you will support a wide range of commercial and technology transactions across Meta's Commerce and Meta Business Agent products and services. You will serve as a key legal partner to the Monetization Partnerships and Business Development teams, advising on new business development initiatives, platform integrations, enterprise partnerships, and strategic commercial deals. You will also counsel business teams on legal risk, business strategy, and other issues arising in commercial transactions and day-to-day operations. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing legal team and work on cutting-edge issues in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.The specific areas of focus and responsibilities will evolve alongside company priorities, emerging legal issues, and the changing regulatory and competitive landscape.Associate General Counsel, Monetization Partnerships - Commerce Responsibilities:Provide strategic legal advice and day-to-day support to internal stakeholders, including developing comprehensive, long-term approaches to key partner relationships and to the commercial aspects of our products and programsDraft, negotiate, manage, and close complex product and commercial transactions, including bespoke technology integrationsLead and support 0 1 strategic partnerships, enabling new products and features from inception through launchPartner with cross-functional teams — including Product, Engineering, Privacy, Policy, and other Legal teams — to identify and resolve novel legal and regulatory issuesAdminister and resolve legal issues and contract interpretation matters arising in existing commercial relationshipsBuild scalable processes, templates, and playbooks for evaluating and executing sophisticated partnership opportunitiesMinimum Qualifications:Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from an accredited institutionActive membership in at least one U.S. state bar8+ years of relevant technology transactions experience at or for technology companies (in-house and/or at a global law firm)Experience drafting, negotiating, and managing technology deals (e.g., technology licensing, product development, platform integrations) in support of business development and sales teamsExperience managing numerous projects and deals simultaneously under tight deadlinesExperience working effectively and collaboratively across functions, exercising sound business judgment, and driving toward solutionsExperience communicating complex legal and business concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including through written memos, contract summaries, and executive briefingsPreferred Qualifications:Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologiesDemonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)Experience setting priorities and building execution plans in ambiguous or undefined problem spaces, balancing competing deadlines and stakeholder needsIn-house experience supporting business development teams, product partnerships, advanced product teams, or 0 1 product launchesExperience with commerce products and AI agents, and familiarity with the associated regulatory landscapeExperience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)Track record of leading complex, first-of-a-kind transactions involving novel deal structuresAbout Meta:Meta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
