As an Associate General Counsel in the M&A legal group, you will oversee and support mergers and acquisitions, including transactions such as acquisitions, divestitures, investments, joint ventures, and related legal functions enterprise-wide.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Provide legal advice in areas such as M&A, acquisitions, divestitures, investments, joint ventures, and related legal fields.
2. Negotiate and execute complex M&A transactions and strategic initiatives.
3. Manage stakeholders and oversee outside counsel during transactions.
4. Assess legal risks and collaborate with business teams to mitigate them.
5. Advise executives on complex legal issues, domestic and international, including their commercial implications.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and active law license in at least one state.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in complex transactional work, including M&A.
• Experience managing staff and working in fast-paced environments.
• Strong strategic thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven analytical and decision-making skills.
• Executive presence and ability to influence stakeholders.
• Excellent writing skills.
• Versatility in working with diverse teams and facilitating consensus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Over 5 years of M&A experience.
• Transactional experience in healthcare or insurance sectors.

Additional Information

The salary range is $124,500 to $239,400 annually, based on full-time employment and various factors. Benefits include comprehensive packages, incentive programs, equity stock purchase, and 401(k).
