What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

1. Structure, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts, including software and service agreements
2. Act as lead attorney for the employer's VetSoft business, managing multiple cloud software offerings
3. Provide strategic legal advice to stakeholders and participate in business leadership meetings
4. Collaborate with in-house teams and outside counsel to ensure effective legal support
5. Design and manage contract processes to enable efficient commercial contracting

What is Required (Qualifications):

1. J.D. or equivalent degree with top academic credentials
2. Bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
3. 8-10+ years of substantial experience in software licensing and commercial contracts
4. Demonstrated excellent legal skills in contract structuring, drafting, and negotiation
5. Experience in a multinational, public company environment is highly valued

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

1. Prior in-house experience with a cloud-based software company
2. Deep experience supporting SaaS, including standard terms creation
3. Familiarity with privacy matters in a commercial context related to SaaS offerings
