The AGC/DoC advises business leaders on U.S. Government prime contracting and subcontracting requirements, manages investigations and disclosures, and ensures compliance with FAR 52.203-13, U.S. Sentencing Guidelines, and DOJ’s Evaluation of Corporate Compliance Programs.

What You’ll Do:

Oversee ITAR/EAR and trade compliance, including DDTC registration, classifications, licensing/agreements, technology control plans, foreign person/deemed export risks, voluntary disclosures, OFAC, anti-boycott, and applicable customs/import requirements. Advise on cybersecurity and information protection requirements, including DFARS 252.204-7012, NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, CUI, incident reporting, NISPOM, FOCI mitigation, and classified contracts. Oversee supply chain and procurement integrity requirements, including counterfeit parts, specialty metals, Buy American, Trade Agreements Act, Berry Amendment, Section 889, FASCSA, forced labor/UFLPA, Procurement Integrity Act, Anti-Kickback Act, supplier due diligence, and subcontract flow-downs. Lead internal investigations, mandatory disclosure determinations, government inquiries, audits, subpoenas, corrective actions, and suspension/debarment matters involving potential False Claims Act, cost mischarging, defective pricing, export, conflicts of interest, and other violations. Oversee corporate compliance matters involving FCPA, OCI/personal conflicts, gifts and entertainment, lobbying/political activity, small business subcontracting, M&A/novation, FOCI, international programs, and employment-related government contractor requirements.

What You Bring:

Required: Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, with eligibility for in-house/corporate counsel registration in the company’s home state. Minimum 8 years of legal experience, including at least 5 years focused on government contracts and compliance, within a law firm, government contractor, or government agency. Deep working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, the False Claims Act, and mandatory disclosure requirements. Demonstrated experience leading internal investigations and managing government audits or inquiries. Working knowledge of ITAR, EAR, NIST 800-171, CMMC, and DFARS cybersecurity requirements. Experience building or leading a corporate compliance program and presenting to senior executives and boards. Excellent judgment, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to provide clear, practical advice to non-lawyers. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required for access to export-controlled information.

AGCDOCPD Preferred:

Aerospace, defense, or complex manufacturing contractor experience involving cost-type, fixed-price, and production contracts. Government attorney experience (DOJ, agency counsel, JAG, Inspector General) or experience with a leading government contracts practice.
