Picarro, Inc. in Santa Clara, CA seeks an Associate General Counsel to partner with the business on growth initiatives worldwide.

You will draft and negotiate diverse commercial agreements and provide practical legal counsel to support strategic opportunities. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will oversee contract review processes, advise on compliance including privacy, trade, and employment, and help govern global subsidiaries.

Qualificações

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school is required.
• At least 6 years of relevant legal practice experience.
• Proven experience drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts.
• Strong knowledge of business law applicable to technology companies (data privacy, employment, IP).
• Strong ethics and professional integrity.
• Excellent judgement and analytical skills, with strategic business understanding.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and ability to convey legal requirements to non-legal audiences.
• Outstanding organizational and multi-project management abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively on cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work onsite at Santa Clara location.

Associate General Counsel

Job Description:

Picarro seeks an experienced business attorney to support its growth initiatives worldwide. The position will report to the General Counsel and have career growth potential. The position will be responsible for drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements. The successful candidate will also have a broad business law background and be capable of counseling clients on business planning and compliance questions in diverse technology and legal subject matter areas.

About Picarro:

Responsibilities:

• Draft and negotiate diverse commercial contracts with sophisticated customers and business partners.

• Provide strategic legal advice for business development initiatives and new business opportunities.

• Contribute practical advice and leadership in support of contract review processes, workflow management, and continuous improvement of contract administration.

• Actively support the Company’s business presence worldwide, including the establishment, governance, and support of global subsidiary companies.

• Advise the Company in diverse compliance areas, including employment law, trade compliance, and privacy.

Required Skills and Experience:

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and current bar membership in California is required.

• At least 6 years of relevant legal practice experience.

• Proven, hands‑on experience in drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts.

• Strong practical knowledge of business law applicable to technology companies (e.g., data privacy, employment, intellectual property, etc.).

• Strong moral compass and understanding of business and professional ethics.

• Excellent judgement and analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically and balance business needs with legal risks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate legal requirements to non‑legal audiences.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work collaboratively on cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to work under time pressure while maintaining a good sense of humor.
• Ability to work onsite at our Santa Clara location.

Salary & Benefits:

The base salary range for this full‑time position is $200K to $235K. Our total compensation package includes base salary, bonus eligibility, and equity. Your base salary range and title will be determined based on the location, experience, qualifications, skills, knowledge, level, and pay of employees in similar positions.
