Eversource seeks an engineer to support gas distribution design, construction, and maintenance across MA/CT/NH. You will plan and execute engineering assignments, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local codes while coordinating with multiple teams and external partners.
The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology and 0–3 years of related experience, plus a valid driver's license.

Assists in the planning, development, scheduling, and the performance of engineering assignments related to the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of gas distribution, pressure regulating systems, including standard projects.
Applies engineering practices as directed by other team members.
Requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology or related discipline.
Minimum of 0 - 3 years related experience.
Valid Motor Vehicle License is required.
This position is categorized as safety-sensitive for the purpose of drug testing. Successful applicants shall be subject to a pre-assignment drug test if the individual is currently in a non-safety sensitive position. As an employee in this position the individual shall be subject to random drug testing.
Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
Work is performed primarily in an office environment which requires sitting, standing, walking and climbing stairs are involved.
Job can require traveling to operating districts, gas facilities and companies within and outside the state.
Work includes calculating, comparing, technical writing, editing, planning, evaluating, interpreting, organizing, consulting, analyzing, designing, documenting, specifying, coordinating, implementing and presenting. This role works in an environment that often requires the performance of multiple simultaneous activities, where deadlines need to be met and work is performed under pressure while involving significant business commitments and results.
