A significant part of Playstack is the Magic Fuel Games team, made up of passionate developers aiming to build top-class, globally appealing titles. We are currently looking for an Associate Game Designer with a passion for gaming and a talent for creating delightful experiences for players worldwide.

Who You Are:
  • You recently graduated in Game Design and have at least 1 year of game design experience: contributed to creating and releasing at least one game.
  • You are an avid gamer and aspire to be a top-tier game designer.
  • You are curious and eager to learn from industry veterans.
  • You possess high energy, a positive attitude, and are a creative thinker.
  • You are available to work full-time within US West Coast hours.
How You'll Contribute:
  • Designing and implementing new features, content, or tutorials in collaboration with your team.
  • Producing core game designs, documentation, balance sheets, and systems for team execution.
  • Engaging with players and community to understand their priorities and feedback.
  • Using qualitative and quantitative feedback to improve game engagement and retention.
What You'll Need:
  • Experience bringing designs to life using Unity.
  • Knowledge or coursework in Visual Design, including Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator, and basic graphic design skills.
  • Strong systems design experience.
  • Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Comfort with Slack, JIRA, and online collaboration tools like Confluence.
  • A passion for simulation games is a plus.
  • (Optional) Experience or coursework in
    • User Experience (UX; user research, wireframes, iteration)
    • Systems Design
