Eightelevengroup in Dearborn, MI is seeking an Associate Software Engineer (Full-Stack) for a hybrid role with a Fortune 500 automotive partner. The role focuses on building software that supports multiple teams, delivering reliable APIs and user-facing components.

This entry-level opportunity includes paid Elevate training, mentorship from senior engineers, and growth pathways within the organization. Start date is September 14, 2026, with a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• In the last semester of or having earned a completed bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Computer Science, IT, etc)
• Hands-on experience with OOP (Java or Python)
• Exposure to AI development (automation, agents, prompt engineering, etc)
• Frontend development experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript (Angular or React experience considered a bonus!)
• BONUS: Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, etc., experience building APIs)

Responsibilities

• Enable the design, development, and support of applications, APIs, and services.
• Review ongoing production software operations and troubleshoot production issues.
• Deliver software frequently using Test Driven Development (TDD), continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD)
• Work with team members to establish best practices to maximize efficiency and minimize risk.
• Interact and work closely with product managers and software engineers on the team to devise solutions and break them into incremental production-ready user stories

Education

Bachelor's degree in a technical field (CS/IT, etc)

OOP (Java or Python)

Frontend development (HTML/CSS/JS)

AI development exposure

Cloud experience (AWS, GCP)
