Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange is seeking a Full Stack Developer I to join our ICE Mortgage Technology team in Jacksonville, FL. You will contribute to modernizing core mortgage servicing applications, building features with React on the frontend and Java/Spring Boot on the backend, under senior guidance.

You’ll also maintain existing C#/.NET apps, assist with migrations to Java/Spring and PostgreSQL, and leverage AI tools to speed coding, testing, and reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1+ years of professional software development experience or equivalent.
• Foundational knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with React, JavaScript (ES6+), and/or TypeScript.
• Experience with SQL and relational database concepts; exposure to PostgreSQL is a plus.
• Understanding of web application and API security principles.
• Experience with version control systems (Git).
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Comfort using AI as a daily tool across the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack feature development using React on the frontend and Java/Spring Boot microservices on the backend under guidance of senior engineers.
• Maintain existing C#/.NET applications and MS SQL databases, and assist with migration to Java/Spring Boot and PostgreSQL.
• Write and maintain PostgreSQL queries and assist with schema work to support performance and data integrity.
• Create and maintain RESTful APIs, integrating with React frontends.
• Implement new features and enhancements to existing functionality with defined standards and collaboration.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and team standards.
• Leverage AI as a core development tool to accelerate workflows including code generation and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in backend and frontend using AI-assisted tools.
• Participate in code reviews and provide/receive feedback.
• Write and maintain unit tests and AI-assisted test generation and coverage analysis.
• Stay current with relevant technologies and emerging AI/LLM capabilities.

We are seeking a Full Stack Developer I to join our innovative development team. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack feature development using React on the frontend and Java/Spring Boot microservices on the backend, under the guidance of senior engineers

• Maintain of existing C#/.NET applications and MS SQL databases, and assist with migration efforts to Java/Spring Boot and PostgreSQL

• Write and maintain PostgreSQL queries and assist with schema work to support application performance and data integrity

• Create and maintain RESTful APIs, adhering to data governance policies and procedures; integrate with React-based frontends

• Implement new features and enhancements to existing functionality with defined standards and peer collaboration

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and team standards

• Leverage AI as a core development tool to accelerate workflows including code generation, documentation, and code review assistance

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in both backend and frontend systems, using AI-assisted tools to diagnose and resolve issues faster

• Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback

• Write and maintain unit tests to ensure code quality and functionality, including AI-assisted test generation and coverage analysis

• Stay current with relevant technologies, frameworks, and emerging AI/LLM capabilities relevant to the tech stack

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• 1+ years of professional software development experience or equivalent experience
