Associate/Full Professor Clinician‑Educator General Anesthesiology - CHOP

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non‑tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Anesthesiology with a focus on Pediatric Anesthesiology. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. ABA certification with subspecialty certification or board eligibility in Pediatric Anesthesiology and Pennsylvania licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Teaching both in formal didactic lecture program and informal teaching of medical students, residents and fellows rotating through the Operating Rooms.
• Attendance and participation in lectures, presentations, and conferences within the division as well as multidisciplinary conferences.
• Clinical responsibilities may include provision of clinical anesthesia and medical direction in the Operating Rooms and other anesthetizing locations at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (Philadelphia and King of Prussia campuses).
• Research or scholarship responsibilities may include investigator‑initiated and collaborative research.
• Demonstrated substantial commitment to research and evidence of continuous scholarly productivity with a defined focus, as required for the non‑tenure Clinician Educator track.
