Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Anesthesiology with a focus on Pediatric Anesthesiology. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Clinical responsibilities may include direct patient care and medical direction in the Operating Rooms and other anesthetizing locations at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. The practice locations include the Philadelphia and King of Prussia campuses.

The major emphasis of the Academic Clinician track is ongoing teaching and clinical excellence, and a sustained record of professionalism. There is an expectation to develop a chosen area of concentration that include, but are not limited to education, clinical operations, community service, quality and safety, health equity, diversity and inclusion, health policy, and global health. Evidence of academic productivity and leadership in projects related to the area of focus will be required. We welcome prospective candidates to visit the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania Faculty Life and Professional Development website to learn more about the different tracks.
