Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in Pediatric Anesthesiology with a focus on cardiothoracic anesthesiology. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree, ABA certification with subspecialty certification or board eligibility in Pediatric Anesthesiology, and Pennsylvania licensure. Rank will be commensurate with experience.
Teaching responsibilities include formal didactic lectures and informal teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows in the cardiothoracic operating rooms and procedural areas. Participation in division and multidisciplinary conferences is expected.
Clinical responsibilities include direct patient care and medical direction in the cardiothoracic operating rooms and procedural areas, primarily at the Philadelphia campus of the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
Research responsibilities involve investigator-initiated and collaborative research, with a significant commitment to scholarly productivity and mentoring of trainees.
