Associate Financial Planning Consultant – Fort Washington, PA (Hybrid)
Basic Function

The Associate Financial Planning Consultant will support Lincoln Investment’s Financial Planning team by partnering with our Financial Professionals and their clients to help them understand their financial circumstances and achieve their short- and long-term goals. Working closely with a Senior Financial Planning Consultant, this role assists in gathering and analyzing financial data, developing comprehensive financial plans, and contributing to client discussions and plan presentations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing client financial information such as income, expenses, assets, liabilities, insurance coverage, and investments.
  • Support the development of personalized financial plans, including retirement, investment, protection, tax, and estate planning strategies.
  • Collaborate with Senior Financial Planning Consultants to review, refine, and deliver financial plans and recommendations.
  • Participate in discussions with financial professionals and clients on topics including savings strategies, debt management, budgeting, and wealth accumulation.
  • Research investment products, insurance solutions, and other financial strategies to support advisor recommendations.
  • Prepare plan presentations, illustrations, and supporting documentation for financial professionals and clients.
  • Help maintain accurate and compliant financial records, ensuring all analyses and recommendations meet regulatory standards.
  • Stay current on industry trends, financial products, and planning best practices to continuously enhance planning support.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Progress toward the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation or completion of the Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional (FPQP®) designation preferred.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66 strongly preferred (or obtained within a designated timeframe after hire).
  • 1–3 years of experience in financial planning, investments, or financial services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with financial planning software such as eMoney or MoneyGuidePro.
  • Foundational understanding of the securities industry, investments, annuities, and insurance products.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret and communicate financial data clearly.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Professional, approachable, and service-oriented.
  • Strong desire to learn, grow, and advance within a collaborative team environment.
Physical/Other Requirements
  • May sit at workstation for extended periods of time.
