Primary Purpose

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION: Actively participates in the accurate planning, reporting, and analysis functions. This role also supports ad hoc requests from internal and external sources to aid decision-making, providing direct input and support to directors, department heads, and line personnel in the assigned area.

Primary Duties

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Prepare month-end, quarterly, and full-year forecasts and reports, including reporting packages for executives, internal teams, and other business units; monthly financial close packages; scorecards; financial performance indicators; quarterly management meetings; Board of Directors presentations; ensuring capital and EBIT forecasts are accurately reflected in planning tools; collaborating with the financial system team to resolve forecasting and planning issues (35%).
  • Assist in preparing various reports and data requests, responding to ad hoc inquiries from internal and external reporting customers, and routinely communicating actual performance against budgets and goals (35%).
  • Function as a member of the Exelon finance team, ensuring financial perspectives are integrated into daily operations, proper classification between O&M and Capital expenses, and compliance with managerial policies (15%).
  • Liaise with other business units to ensure efficient and effective information exchange (10%).
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process and assist in updating long-range and budget planning models (5%).
Job Scope

JOB SCOPE:

  • Must be flexible, proactive, and capable of working with ambiguity.
  • Position reports to the Manager/Supervisor, Financial Planning and Analysis.
  • Works under direct supervision.
Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4-year degree in a finance-related field with 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Analytical understanding of finance and accounting principles.
  • Effective written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer-based analytical tools.
Preferred Qualifications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

MBA or CPA certification preferred.
