Job summary

Conagra Brands is seeking a Finance Analyst to deliver cost accounting and FP&A support at our Oakdale location. You will partner with multiple departments, perform daily plant operation reporting, and help drive cost reductions through data-driven insights.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and 1+ years of cost accounting experience, with SAP knowledge considered a plus. This on-site position offers growth within a large food company.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analyses and reporting for assigned tasks and support financial projects.
  • Participate in AOP, monthly forecasting, reporting, and period close.
  • Partner on accounting and finance questions; communicate gaps and insights.
  • Report daily on plant operations: volume, labor, line efficiency, yield loss.
  • Provide ad hoc FP&A support and commentary to partners.
  • Ensure SOX compliance and review general ledger accuracy.
  • Spend 20% of time on the plant floor engaging with teams.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering to analyze data and control costs.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Finance Team Lead, you will perform analyses and reporting for assigned tasks and support other financial projects and analysis of business operations.
  • May perform business partnering, analytics, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), monthly forecasting, reporting, and period close.
  • Be a partner on accounting and finance related questions. This will involve the ability to assess needs and identify gaps to produce reporting and communication to multiple departments.
  • Report daily on plant operations, including volume reporting, labor analysis, line efficiency, and yield loss.
  • Communicate changes to partners by providing specific, applicable, and forward-looking commentary.
  • Analyze inventory for accuracy and identify potential issues.
  • Review processes to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and fiscal year-end closing process, including Journal Entries, reviewing Process Order variances, and reviewing general ledger for accurate financial records.
  • Collaborate with production teams to analyze data, identify areas for cost reduction, and improve processes.
  • Partner with Engineering team to Capitalize Projects, tag assets, and review the Fixed Asset register for accuracy and reporting of Idled Assets.
  • Ensure processes are followed to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
  • Spend 20% of your time on the floor engaging with multiple teams.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and financial planning and analysis (FP&A) support.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required in accounting or finance.
  • 1+ years of cost accounting experience.
  • Experience in cost accounting, along with knowledge of financial systems and general accounting concepts.
  • Experience working across multiple departments to complete a project or resolve an organizational challenge.
  • Experience thinking critically, including using analytics, benchmarking, and insights to produce meaningful strategies and solutions.
  • Intermediate experience in Microsoft Excel proficiency required with formulas such as VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables.
  • Experience with SAP a plus

Compensation

Compensation Pay Range:$59,000-$79,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position.

An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity.

Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
