Associate Financial Advisor - Seattle

PAY RANGE

The target pay range for this position is $28.27-$34.47 hourly, with a full range of $21.93-$40.77. Compensation decisions are based on skills, experience, and education. In addition to salary, performance-based incentives are available.

IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:

As an Associate Financial Advisor, you will provide personalized investment services, conduct portfolio reviews, and guide members toward their financial goals, building trust and satisfaction through strategic insights and tailored solutions.

***This role involves travel between multiple branch locations and our headquarters, based on scheduled meetings.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Partner with Financial Advisors to develop and implement investment strategies for referred members.
  • Offer personalized financial planning, including IRAs and 529 plans, tailored to each member’s needs and risk tolerance.
  • Engage in business development and refer prospects as needed.
  • Enhance service levels, grow the existing book of business, and foster client relationships.
  • Meet sales and performance goals by identifying member needs and presenting suitable solutions.
  • Deliver exceptional member service, conduct reviews, and address challenges within BECU Investment Services.
  • Coordinate with mutual fund companies, insurance providers, and broker/dealers to meet client needs.
  • Maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with FINRA, OSJ, and Insurance regulators.
  • Support and mentor administrative staff and participate in team training initiatives.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned, demonstrating versatility and proactive engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience; preferred in business.
  • At least two years in the financial industry, including customer-facing roles.
  • Series 7 and Series 66 (or 63 and 65) licenses.

Desired Qualifications

  • Washington Life, Health, and Disability Insurance License.
  • Industry certifications such as CFP.
  • Knowledge of BECU Investment Services products and services.
  • Proficiency in PC and investment software.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to travel for client meetings.
