Job summary

New York Life - Uniondale is seeking an entry-level Associate Financial Advisor with a passion for building long-term client relationships and a love of financial data. You will learn to assess clients, build portfolios, and grow a client base under experienced guidance.

You will work with senior advisors to develop tailored plans, expand your knowledge of estate planning and investment products, and pursue required FINRA credentials with company support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or related field.
• FINRA Series 7 & 63/66 preferred (bonus).
• Strong client relationships and communication skills.
• Willingness to help others.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to build financial profiles and provide sound advice based on individual circumstances.
• Develop tailored financial plans considering life stage and changing needs.
• Be a coachable team player open to training from senior advisors.
• Identify and secure new clients as a trusted advisor.
• Provide strategic recommendations for insurance, investments, and other plans.
• Explain features of insurance, investments, and planning needs to prospects.
• Develop investment portfolios and long-term strategies; assist with client acquisitions.
• Maintain relationships with clients and underwriters; renew and upgrade accounts.
• Assist clients with concerns and service issues; reach monthly sales targets.
