Job description

Seattle Corporate Search is recruiting a Financial Advisor for a confidential, rapidly growing, fee-only Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) in Bellevue, WA. The firm provides comprehensive financial planning and wealth management services with a strong focus on helping pre-retirees and retirees make informed financial decisions.

About the Role

Bellevue, WA | Full-time

$80,000 base salary | Approximately $110,000 Year 1 OTE

We’re looking for a Financial Advisor who has built a foundation in financial planning and client service and is ready to continue developing toward a Lead Advisor role.

This opportunity is focused heavily on financial planning and relationship management rather than cold prospecting. The firm has an established marketing platform that generates prospective client opportunities and provides dedicated support for investment management, paraplanning, data entry, and administrative responsibilities.

You’ll work with existing and prospective clients on comprehensive financial planning, including retirement income, investments, taxes, distributions, and estate planning.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deepen relationships with existing clients.
  • Help clients identify their financial goals, needs, and objectives.
  • Develop, present, and monitor personalized financial planning recommendations.
  • Participate in and ultimately lead client and prospect meetings.
  • Provide ongoing financial education and guidance to clients.
  • Work with prospective clients generated through the firm’s marketing efforts.
  • Conduct discovery meetings and gather financial information, goals, assets, and income data.
  • Partner with paraplanning resources to analyze clients’ financial situations.
  • Present and implement personalized financial planning recommendations.
  • Manage and follow up with prospective clients throughout the decision-making process.
  • Support new-client onboarding and relationship transitions.
  • Stay current on financial planning strategies, industry developments, products, and regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver a consistently high level of client service.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in financial advisory, wealth management, or financial planning.
  • Experience participating meaningfully in client meetings; candidates do not need to have independently led every client relationship.
  • CFP designation or appropriate securities licensing.
  • Candidates without a CFP should have relevant FINRA/NASAA licensing, such as the SIE, Series 7, and Series 63/65 or Series 66.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning concepts and terminology.
  • Knowledge of investment products such as mutual funds, stocks, bonds, insurance, and annuities.
  • Ability to clearly communicate financial concepts and recommendations to clients.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and goal-oriented.
  • High standards of professionalism, honesty, and integrity.
Required Skills
  • Financial planning and wealth management experience.
  • Client relationship management.
  • Experience participating in financial planning or advisory meetings.
  • Ability to explain financial concepts and strategies clearly.
  • Understanding of investment products and portfolio considerations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple client relationships and follow-up activities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working within an RIA or fee-only advisory environment.
  • Experience working with pre-retirees and retirees.
  • Knowledge of retirement income, tax, distribution, and estate-planning strategies.
  • Experience with financial planning software, CRM platforms, portfolio management systems, or other FinTech tools.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as MoneyGuidePro, Morningstar Advisor Workstation, Broadridge Forefield Advisor, or similar technology.
  • Experience developing relationships with outside professionals such as CPAs and attorneys.
Pay range and compensation package

The base salary is $80,000 annually, with approximately $110,000 in expected Year 1 total compensation.

The role offers additional earning potential tied to new clients and assets, along with a clear training and development path toward becoming a Lead Advisor.

The firm provides a strong pipeline of prospective clients along with marketing support, investment research, paraplanning, and administrative resources. Advisors are able to spend more of their time on financial planning, recommendations, and client relationships rather than relying primarily on cold prospecting.
