Status: Full-time; Hybrid (3 days in office per week)

We are an independent advisory firm, and a team-oriented environment of motivated people who genuinely enjoy being around each other and prioritize having a true work/life balance. We want to use our time, resources and hearts to make the world a better place, for generations to come. Amid significant M&A activity across the industry, we are proud to be a buyer rather than a seller, positioning the firm for continued growth and long-term investment.

Our community of clients share the same passion and commitment to ESG, sustainability, social justice, LGBTQ+ rights, solving food insecurity and human rights. We welcome like-minded, passionate individuals who are actively pursuing both personal and professional growth.

We are excited to hire a Financial Advisor to support and enhance our dynamic growth. You will bring a meaningful track record of in-depth knowledge, enthusiasm for a high touch client experience combined with a passionate belief in the tenets of financial planning. You will serve as the relationship lead for clients who enjoy rich, detail-driven discussions about planning, strategy, and portfolio rationale. If you're committed to making an impact in people's lives and leaving the world better than you found it, you will thrive in our environment!

Who You Are:

  • You view being an advisor as a calling rather than a profession.
  • You can translate complex financial and investment concepts in a way that clients appreciate and trust.
  • You are mission-driven, with a genuine interest in sustainability and aligning financial strategies with client values.
  • You expect a lot of yourself, are driven to excel and understand that this is your life's work.

As a Financial Advisor, you will handle all aspects of financial planning and investment management for a segment of our wonderful clients. This includes regular reviews, initiating outreach and resolving incoming client inquiries. You'll be comfortable and confident when interacting with clients to ensure a thorough and robust financial planning experience. Our outstanding operations and administrative team members are responsible for the day to day while you proactively nurture and enhance client relationships. Our investment professionals create, manage and trade the portfolios.

In your new role, you can expect to:

  • Take ownership of financial planning and investment management.
  • Service the firm’s PNW clients together with local partner/senior advisor.
  • View ESG as an increasingly important priority in today’s market and are committed to strengthening our capabilities and leadership in this area.
  • Continuously maintain client relationships, understanding their unique circumstances, connections, and interests.
  • Analyze client’s income and asset situation; review and update client’s financial situation.
  • Develop and present financial planning recommendations and/or alternatives.
  • Take a proactive approach to client service and collaboration with colleagues.
  • Stay up to date with market trends, financial products, and regulatory changes.
  • Collaborate with other team members to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.

Be available for travel to the company’s New York City headquarters to support collaboration, strategic meetings, and team engagement several times a year.

Qualifications for this opportunity include:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10 plus years of experience in the industry and in a financial advising role, including leading meetings, providing proactive financial planning advice and making investment recommendations
  • CFP® required. CFA, CPA, or CIMA preferred.
  • Series 65 or willingness to obtain
  • The ability to build lasting, high trust relationships with clients through exemplary client service
  • Strong analytical background in planning, analysis, research, or another technical discipline. Comfort engaging clients at a deeper level.
  • Very team-oriented
  • Strong, adaptive technology abilities
  • Intellectual curiosity and passion for our business
