The Associate Finance Director is responsible for supporting Optum Finance Network business. The position will work with key leaders to ensure sound financial analysis, decision making, and support interactions with senior leaders and clients.

If you are located in Eden Prairie, MN, you will have the flexibility to work remotely*, as well as work in the office as you take on some tough challenges. If you are located outside of Eden Prairie, MN, you will enjoy the flexibility to work remotely* from anywhere within the U.S.

Primary Responsibilities

• Act as subject matter expert on the network business applying in-depth knowledge of the business for recommendations to management
• Structuring and drafting financial terms of agreements with merchants
• Identify opportunities and prepare business cases for network growth opportunities (including product investment decisions to maximize returns)
• Accountability to achieve revenue and profit budgets
• Identify opportunities and drive financial decisions in partnership with business leadership with focus on priority strategic initiatives
• Prepare reporting for management reviews
• Understand and explain monthly, quarterly, and annual variances and key action items
• Maintain real-time forecast as new information becomes available from the business
• Lead ad hoc projects that drive cost efficiencies and increase profitability

Required Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 7+ years of progressive finance experience
• Experience in financial planning and analysis supporting business partners in P&L management
• Ability to prepare and present materials to senior leaders and clients
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in the Healthcare Industry
• Experience prioritizing & managing demanding workloads with concurrent deadlines
• Experience in the payments industry
• History of supporting product capital and operating budgets
• Proven excellent interpersonal relationship building and communication (written and verbal)
• Ability to be assertive, self-starting personality with a customer service attitude
• Ability to be a trusted advisor and partner to those we serve in the business
• Experience with structuring, negotiating, and drafting agreements
• Ability to achieve success in a matrix business partner structure
• Proven solid analytical skills and business acumen
• Proven ability to deal with ambiguity and change

The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
