The Position

Territory: Raleigh, NC (Charlotte, Greensboro, and Fayetteville)

Travel: 50%

The Opportunity

The Roche Support Network is committed to providing industry-defining support to its customers. As an Associate Field Engineering Specialist, you will travel and demonstrate your expertise in technical repair and installation for Roche product lines, providing valued service to laboratory customers in your territory.

  • Ensure and maximize customer satisfaction with Roche equipment and related products. Promote effective communication among teams to ensure and maximize customer satisfaction. Manage customer accounts to promote goodwill, confidence, and credibility, exceeding expectations in product, service, and support quality.
  • Follow standard practices to install, maintain, and repair Roche Diagnostics' equipment. Identify and analyze problems, perform repairs when possible, or escalate issues. Schedule and perform preventative maintenance. Monitor equipment performance and respond to routine issues, referring complex problems to higher levels.
  • Identify revenue opportunities, implement Roche Diagnostics service policies, and seek opportunities to market service contracts to existing customers.
  • Provide routine technical support and operator troubleshooting training to customers when needed.
  • Complete and document all service and customer reports, updates, and emails professionally and timely, in compliance with quality procedures.
  • Maintain expenses within guidelines and control inventory and company property.

This is a field-based role.

Who you are
  • High school diploma plus 2 years of technical school, military training, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2 years of experience repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware, software, or networking/wireless systems, or equivalent training.
Preferred Requirements
  • 4-year Engineering Degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related fields.
  • Basic knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, and information technology.
  • Knowledge of basic chemistry.
  • Ability to develop troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Effective customer service skills, positive attitude, helpful interactions, and ongoing relationship maintenance.

The salary range for Raleigh, NC is $54,100 - $100,500 annually, based on experience and qualifications. A discretionary bonus may be available. Benefits details are provided via the link below.
