Scope of Position

As an Associate Field Engineer, you will be crucial to ALC’s business through field commissioning of building automation systems tailored for each customer. We seek a self-motivated, detail-oriented, customer-focused team member. This role is your introduction to a career as a Field Engineer, starting with troubleshooting and progressing to more complex projects to develop your skills.

Essential Job Functions

• Initiate, install, troubleshoot, and optimize customer systems utilizing advanced Direct Digital Control technology.
• Offer effective solutions for system issues.
• Deliver turnkey projects on small to mid-level systems.
• Ensure proper operation of systems, controls, sensors, and software.
• Load software, configure trends, alarms, and reports.
• Manage time effectively to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Communicate and document project status and details for the customer.
• Provide site-specific training to owners/operators on the complete system.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to climb ladders or use lift equipment over 8 feet and lift items up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable by the company.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Building Automation, HVAC controls, or related fields.
• Experience with building automation software like WebCTRL and installing controls.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networks, including wireless tech.
• Ability to communicate technical info to non-technical audiences.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork ability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
