Job summary

Camellia Clothing in Vernon, CA is seeking an Associate Fashion Designer to join our creative team. You will contribute to fresh, trend-forward designs and work closely with senior designers, merchandisers, and technical teams to bring concepts to life through sketches, CAD files, and prototypes.

Join the full product lifecycle from concept to production, develop mood boards, fabrics, and color directions, and refine designs in fittings and reviews within a dynamic, hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and CAD programs.
• Strong skills in fashion design sketching, illustration, and vector illustration techniques.
• Knowledge of textiles used in garment construction processes.
• Experience with sewing machines and basic sewing techniques; familiarity with garment fitting is a plus.
• Ability to develop artistic concepts through illustration and graphic design; experience with 3D modeling software is advantageous.
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Understanding of color theory, textile properties, and fabric sourcing for fashion styling.
• Background in professional art or design programs with a portfolio showcasing creative projects in fashion or related fields.
• Experience with product lifecycle management tools and merchandising principles is preferred.
• A passion for fashion innovation combined with a keen eye for detail and craftsmanship.
