The Huntington invites applications for an Associate Exhibition Designer to develop and execute 2-D and 3-D designs for permanent collection displays, in-gallery graphics and signage across the Institution's Art Museum, Library, and Botanical divisions.

You will establish design standards, coordinate with curators, editors, registrars, conservators, and external vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery, and translate curatorial objectives into accessible design solutions.

Responsabilités

• Design exhibition identity and graphics, including title walls, interpretive panels, object labels, wayfinding, and signage, from concept to installation.
• Maintain consistent visual standards across galleries using vinyl, murals, mounted panels, and printed graphics.
• Coordinate in-house production and with external vendors to fabricate, deliver, and install graphics and signage.
• Research, prototype, test, and evaluate materials and production methods to identify effective, durable solutions.
• Collaborate with curators and editors to review exhibition text, incorporate revisions, and manage proofs through final approval.
• Prepare files for in-house printing and produce graphics for permanent collection displays and temporary exhibitions.
• Review curatorial checklists, sections, and themes to determine object placement and scale within galleries, and develop layouts.
