Farallon Consulting, L.L.C. has a full-time opening for a hybrid Associate Environmental Engineer in our Issaquah or Seattle, Washington offices.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a motivated and talented Environmental/Remediation Engineer to join our team in Issaquah or Seattle, Washington. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside industry experts on diverse environmental projects. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong technical and writing skills, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

Support Farallon’s technical teams on projects related to contaminated site investigation and remediation, environmental due diligence, litigation support, and regulatory coordination. Work in a fast-paced environment emphasizing quality and client service.

Qualifications
  • ABET-accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental engineering.
  • Professional licensure in Washington (P.E.).
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in environmental consulting, including site investigations, remediation system design and operation (e.g., air-sparge, soil vapor extraction, multi-phase extraction, in-situ remediation, mass excavation, engineering controls).
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams for complex cleanup projects.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations such as MTCA, RCRA, CERCLA.
  • Permitting experience, including NPDES and KCIW discharge permits.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proposal and report writing.
  • CADD and engineering design experience.
  • Ability to collaborate on business development.
  • Availability to travel up to 20%.
  • Commitment to safety and health regulations.
Preferred Skills
  • Regulatory communication experience.
  • Familiarity with GIS, data management, and laboratory procedures.
  • Experience with voluntary cleanup programs and specialized engineering knowledge (e.g., PFAS, emissions, sediment cleanup).
  • Existing client relationships.

Salary

Estimated range: $80,000 – $130,000, based on experience and education. Salary is part of a comprehensive total compensation package, reviewed annually.
