Position Responsibilities

The Engineering Manager is a key member of our wind and solar renewable energy team. This role involves developing and applying project management, technical, and leadership skills to oversee engineering subconsultants supporting wind and renewable energy projects.

We are seeking a degreed civil or electrical engineer for this position.

This is a remote-based role with travel to the corporate office, project sites, and other locations as required.

  1. Manage engineering services for Balance of Plant (BOP) or Balance of System (BOS) projects, including construction permitting, civil engineering, foundation engineering, electrical collector system engineering, substation engineering, transmission line engineering, and interconnect switchyard engineering.
  2. Oversee internal engineering resources and consultants during planning, design, and quality assurance of wind and solar PV renewable energy projects.
  3. Coordinate extensively with clients, project managers, development staff, and vendors to execute project work, focusing on cost-effective engineering solutions that meet technical, regulatory, and client requirements.
  4. Support business development, estimating, and project planning activities.
  5. Assist in expanding the business unit through new renewable energy service offerings.
  6. Mentor and monitor engineering management resources from other parts of the company.
  7. Develop and maintain engineering standards and procedures.
  8. Drive innovation in design methods, ensure quality assurance and quality control, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Education

Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering.

Position Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future.
  • Four-year civil or electrical engineering degree required. Professional Engineering licensure, or the ability to obtain it, is preferred.
  • This is an entry-level position, but some engineering experience in construction-related fields is preferred.
