Responsibilities

• Lead design on each phase of the project (typical: Preliminary Grading, Preliminary Utility Layout, Final Grading, Final Utility Plan and Profiles, Construction Documents and Construction Phase services) to deliver a set of contract documents used for permits and construction.
• Provide AutoCAD support for the preparation of project documents.
• Provide design calculations for drainage, utility, stormwater management, reports, and analysis.
• Assist the Project Manager or Project Engineer with construction services (site visits, review of shop drawings, etc.).
• Perform project code searches and analysis for each project.
• Provide assistance for submittals to jurisdiction agencies.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, consultants, and team members.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience within the Civil Engineering field.
• A minimum of two years of experience in the use of AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, and Excel is preferred.
• 2-5 years of land/site development experience strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Strong computer and written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Strong AutoCAD and Civil3D skills preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, licensing, project specialty/complexity, and work location. At Ware Malcomb, certain roles are bonus eligible.
