Job summary

Artheon seeks an Associate Civil Engineer to join its civil/municipal team in New Jersey. You will design site layouts, drainage, utilities, and roadways using CAD tools, while coordinating with PMs, surveyors, and other disciplines to deliver compliant, high-quality projects.

The role requires 2–5 years of experience, a bachelor’s in civil engineering, and an EIT certification with PE a plus or plan to obtain it. Competitive compensation included.

Responsibilities

• Design and Drafting: Develop civil engineering designs, including site layouts, grading, drainage, utilities, and roadways using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D).
• Permitting and Compliance: Prepare and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, surveyors, and other engineering disciplines to deliver comprehensive solutions tailored to client needs.
• Technical Reports: Create engineering reports, feasibility studies, and calculations to support project design and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: 2–5 years of experience in civil engineering design, preferably in land development or municipal projects.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant engineering software; knowledge of stormwater management software is a plus.
• Licensing: Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus or a willingness to obtain it.
• Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
