Job summary

The Scoular Company seeks motivated grain elevator operators for the harvest season, to support safe, reliable supply chain operations. You will load/unload grain, operate loaders and other equipment, manage storage, maintain cleanliness, and follow safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment physical and drug screening required.
• Ability to work overtime including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions (extreme heat, cold, high winds).
• Comfort with climbing ladders/heights and working in confined spaces.
• Must wear PPE (hard hats, safety glasses, safety footwear).
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs multiple times per day and stand for extended periods.
• Experience in a grain facility is preferred but not required.

Job description

Scoular is seeking motivated grain elevator operators to join our team and contribute to our mission of creating safe and reliable supply chain solutions for our customers.This is a seasonal position lasting through our harvest cycle.

• Safely load and unload incoming and outgoing grain while assisting with the weighing and grading of grain trucks.
• Operate heavy equipment (loaders, skid steer loaders, track mobiles, rail car movers, etc.)
• Manage grain storage by creating and moving grain piles, as well as performing general cleaning and housekeeping of bins and storage structures.
• Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and promptly reporting any unsafe practices or hazards.
• Perform general maintenance tasks as needed to support operations.

About You

• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening
• Flexibility to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat (90-120F), cold (subzero), and high winds (40+ mph).
• Must be comfortable with climbing ladders, heights, and working in confined spaces
• Must be able to work in environments with dust and airborne particles, including grain dust
• Wear required PPE, such as hard hats, safety glasses, and safety footwear.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. multiple times per day and standing on hard surfaces for extended periods
• Experience in a grain facility preferred but not required
