Job summary

Accelevation LLC in Miamisburg, OH seeks an Associate Electrical Engineer to support design, testing, and production of low- and medium-voltage switchboards and switchgear. Ideal for recent graduates seeking hands-on experience in power distribution and panel design.

You will prepare schematics and layout drawings, assist with BOMs, select components, and coordinate with mechanical teams to integrate electrical designs into panels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in electrical design, manufacturing, or power systems.
• Basic understanding of electrical power distribution systems.
• Familiarity with electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and wiring schematics.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or other electrical drafting software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of low-voltage and medium-voltage switchboards and switchgear.
• Prepare electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Support the preparation of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation.
• Assist with equipment selection, including circuit breakers, busbars, protection devices, metering, and control components.
• Coordinate with the mechanical engineering team to ensure electrical designs are integrated into panel layouts.
• Support the production team by resolving electrical design and assembly queries.
• Assist in reviewing customer specifications and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
• Ensure engineering documentation is maintained accurately and revisions are properly controlled.
• Follow company engineering standards, quality procedures, and project schedules.
