Job summary

AST SpaceMobile is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to join our aerospace team. This role focuses on designing and testing electrical harnesses for satellites and ground support equipment, working closely with senior engineers to ensure precise, reliable integration.

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in electrical or related engineering, up to 2 years of industry or project experience, and familiarity with CAD tools and circuit analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
  • 0–2 years of industry experience or recent graduate with hands-on project experience.
  • Knowledge of space environment and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools for harness design and electrical analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design, test, and support the integration of electrical harnesses for spacecraft and ground systems.
  • Create detailed electrical schematics, select wiring, connectors, back shells, and other harness components, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Develop and execute test plans to verify functionality, reliability, and performance of electrical harness systems.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation procedures, analyze test data, and troubleshoot issues to meet design requirements.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including interface control documents, system schematics, block diagrams, harness drawings, and installation procedures.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
