Job summary

EVONA in Texas is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to support design, development, and testing of electrical harnesses for spacecraft and ground equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience across the full product lifecycle.

You will work alongside experienced engineers on advanced aerospace hardware, collaborating with electrical, RF, power, mechanical, and systems teams to ensure successful hardware integration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or related engineering discipline.
  • 0–2 years of professional experience or a recent graduate with internship/co-op experience.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative engineering environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design, development, and integration of electrical harnesses for spacecraft and ground systems.
  • Create electrical schematics and select wiring, connectors, backshells, and harness components.
  • Develop and execute test plans to verify electrical system functionality, reliability, and performance.
  • Perform testing, analyze results, troubleshoot issues, and support design improvements.
  • Produce technical documentation including harness drawings, interface control documents, wiring diagrams, and installation procedures.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure successful hardware integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the design, development, and integration of electrical harnesses for spacecraft and ground systems.
  • Create electrical schematics and select appropriate wiring, connectors, backshells, and harness components.
  • Develop and execute test plans to verify electrical system functionality, reliability, and performance.
  • Perform testing, analyze results, troubleshoot issues, and support design improvements.
  • Produce technical documentation including harness drawings, interface control documents, wiring diagrams, and installation procedures.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, including electrical, RF, power, mechanical, and systems engineering, to ensure successful hardware integration.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 0–2 years of professional experience, or a recent graduate with relevant internship, co‑op, or university project experience.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative engineering environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of electrical harness design and integration.
  • Understanding of cable routing, shielding, grounding, and EMI/EMC principles.
  • Experience using CAD tools such as Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD Electrical, CATIA, or similar software.
  • Familiarity with electrical simulation tools including SPICE, MATLAB, or equivalent.
  • Internship or project experience within aerospace, space, automotive, defence, or another high‑reliability engineering industry.
