Job summary

Clanton seeks an Associate Electrical Engineer to lead lighting and electrical design projects in Boulder, collaborating with PMs, designers, engineers, and CAD technicians. This full-time role emphasizes technical leadership, client communication, and on-site collaboration two days per week.

You will manage projects from concept to construction, ensure code compliance (NEC) and standards (IES, ASHRAE 90.1/189.1, LEED), mentor teams, review plans, and assist with invoicing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architectural engineering or electrical engineering with a building systems focus.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
• Ability to work in person at our Boulder office 2 days per week.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects for lighting design and electrical engineering from concept through construction administration.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project teams.
• Coordinate with project managers, designers, engineers, and CAD technicians.
• Communicate with clients to understand requirements, schedules, budgets, resources, and tasks.
• Support project invoicing and collections by coordinating with the finance team.
• Ensure NEC compliance and LEED/IECC considerations as applicable.
