Olsson is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to join our Federal Engineering and Design Team. You will support the planning and design of electrical systems for federal facilities and infrastructure projects, gaining exposure to UFC, DoD, and VA requirements while developing expertise in power distribution, lighting, and life safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a concentration in power.
• Minimum of one year of engineering experience, internship, or equivalent academic project.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
• Working knowledge of design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SKM, AGi32, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of electrical systems for federal facilities, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, communications, and life safety systems.
• Perform engineering calculations, system layouts, and equipment selections under licensed engineers.
• Develop and apply knowledge of electrical engineering principles, codes, standards, and industry best practices.
• Utilize engineering and design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, or other electrical modeling tools.
• Assist with project schedules, design coordination, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Travel to project sites and federal installations to support design development and coordination.
