Position Overview

ASRC Federal Gulf State Constructors, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, seeks a full-time Electrical Engineer to support government programs at Sheppard Air Force Base, Wichita Falls, Texas. This position requires on-site presence.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Evaluate electrical systems, products, components, and applications.
  2. Review US Air Force Requirements & Optimization (R&O) playbook for project initiation and maintenance development.
  3. Inspect completed projects and equipment installations, capturing Real Property data.
  4. Provide electrical engineering expertise, including load calculations, generator sizing, and interior electrical design.
  5. Interpret construction/engineering drawings and specifications to ensure compliance.
  6. Define project scope, prepare specifications, cost estimates, and proposals for electrical projects.
  7. Perform physical activities such as climbing, crawling, and outdoor work.
  8. Coordinate with mechanical, structural, and civil engineers during design phases.
  9. Support project design teams and provide technical support to programmers and estimators.
  10. Review military construction plans and specifications.
  11. Conduct root cause analysis on system failures.
  12. Review work request submissions for scope validity.
  13. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  2. 0-2 years of electrical engineering experience.
  3. Knowledge of site components and their functions.
  4. Experience with facility maintenance, improvements, or repairs.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  6. Valid US driver’s license.
  7. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting at least 50 lbs.
  8. Commitment to safety.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. At least three years’ experience in a military environment, familiarity with US Air Force Civil Engineering guidance.
  2. Knowledge of construction management software, project closeout, preventive maintenance, and repair terminology.

Note: Must be a US or Permanent Resident due to contract requirements on military installations.
