As our new entry level Staff Engineer your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Prepares basic designs and performs calculations in support of projects of routine to average complexity.
  • Analyzes survey reports, maps, drawings, aerial photographs, geologic data, and other data to plan projects of routine to average complexity. Makes deductions from analyses as required to create design deliverables for review by a senior engineer.
  • Develops work products that align with client standards.
  • Consistently utilizes sound judgment and discretion in performance of tasks.
  • Gathers and records information to be used for writing specifications.
  • Reviews vendor submittals and drawings to assure compliance with specifications.
  • Prepares and presents routine technical reports.
  • Develop a working knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
  • Visits job sites to gain field experience, broaden background, and develop practical engineering skills. Incorporates knowledge from field visit into performance of office-based tasks
  • Participates actively in creating a safety culture in the office and at the jobsite.
  • Adheres to the policies and standards set forth in Ramboll’s Company Strategy and Project Delivery model.
  • Work effectively in team comprised of professionals with diverse skill sets, including engineers from other trades and scientists.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement.

  • B.S. Degree in an Environmental, Water Resources, or Civil field
  • AAS Degree in Civil or Architectural design.

Salary Transparency Statement

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across severalU.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $65,000 to $77,500. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience.
