Job summary

Cummings Electrical is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer in Fort Worth, TX. The role involves supporting electrical engineers in designing and upgrading large commercial projects, performing calculations, and learning through established procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 0–4 years of experience in commercial/industrial construction
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
  • Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
  • Attention to detail and time-conscious work approach
  • Strong aptitude for Mathematics and knowledge of electrical power fundamentals
  • Knowledge of single and three-phase power systems
  • Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong computer software skills including MS Office (Excel)
  • Engineer In Training (EIT), NEC knowledge, and experience with AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP, or Revit and field experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist electrical engineers with electrical system designs for electrical commercial projects
  • Perform and check calculations, specify electrical equipment, and solve problems of engineering complexity
  • Develop knowledge of Electrical design in power distribution, lighting, single line diagrams, and load calculations
  • Check that designs and finished products follow specifications, regulations, and contract details
  • Participate in equipment and material procurement activities

We are looking for an Associate Electrical Engineer to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated candidate to work on a project team with other electrical engineers engaged in the planning, design, upgrade, and modification of large electrical projects. Performing assigned general duties of limited scope and level of responsibility, this position is designed to develop broader Electrical Engineering knowledge and experience. This role teaches and applies established procedures and techniques in accomplishment of work activities. Recent college graduates are welcome to apply.
