Associate Director, Virtual Adult Evening Programs

Overview: Compass Health Center offers virtual PHP/IOP programs for crisis-level mental health care. We are seeking an Associate Director of our Virtual Program to lead the team while continuing to participate in patient care. If you are passionate about helping clinicians grow and remaining an expert in clinical skills, you would be a great addition to our team.

About This Role

This is a full-time, remote position with a Monday–Friday schedule tailored to program needs and evening hours (12:00–8:00 PM CST).

What You'll Do:

  • Assist Program Directors in overseeing quality of care in virtual PHP and IOP programs
  • Coordinate with onsite over-18 programs to ensure alignment of programming between virtual and onsite offerings
  • Manage clinical team of 5–10 group therapists
  • Conduct and document intakes of new patients to the program
  • Field calls regarding potential intakes and collaborate with front office on scheduling
  • Meet with patients individually to assess and chart progress
  • Assess progress and determine need for higher level of care, step down, or discharge
  • Guide discharge planning with the treatment team to ensure continuity of care
  • Provide virtual and phone coaching to parents and patients
  • Engage in frequent communication with team via rounds, notes, emails, and ongoing collaboration
  • Coordinate care with outside providers to ensure continuity of care
  • Provide virtual group, individual, and family therapy, as needed
  • Aid in crisis management
  • Ensure documentation and data are tracked and completed accurately and timely
  • Oversee insurance-related needs through coordination with Utilization Review Team
  • Provide clinical supervision for staff working toward licensure, as approved by Program Director
  • Support Program Director in assessing team needs and facilitating adult-specific professional development
  • Ensure all activities align with Compass values and mission
  • Address liability/ethics issues quickly and appropriately in virtual programs
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures; coordinate with other Compass programs and departments
  • Coordinate community outreach (training, referrals, tours) and participate in program development and expansion
  • Participate in interviews with Program Director as needed and meet regularly for supervision/consultation

Who You Are:

  • Licensed Doctorate Level Psychologist or Masters Level Clinician (LCPC or LCSW)
  • Clinical experience conducting assessments, individual, family, or group therapy
  • Knowledge and experience with CBT, DBT, and other empirically supported treatments
  • Experience working with patients in crisis
  • Program development and implementation experience
  • Experience supervising therapists, licensed and licensure-seeking
  • Ability to juggle multiple demands in a fast-paced, changing environment

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation: $78,000 - $98,000 USD
