Job summary

James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA, is seeking an Associate Director of Video Services to lead video content for 18 varsity programs and athletics facilities. The role reports to the Director of Video Services and requires a strong online portfolio.

You will coordinate production, supervise student staff, and collaborate with the creative services team to deliver video for social media, video boards, and events. Some night/weekend work and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Collegiate Athletics Creative Video or Professional Sports Video content.
• Experience creating creative compelling content that displays the athletics departments brand and goals in a positive light.
• Strong videography skills including shooting and editing, including coloring and knowledge of output settings.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the video production process, camera operation, lens types, filming techniques, light design, and post-production process.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including but not limited to: Premiere Pro, After Effects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, produce and deliver video content that is consistent with the JMU Athletics brand, aligned with department goals and targeted to inspire all constituents to engage with the athletics department.
• Collaborate with the Director of Video Services and the creative services team to help build strategies that apply to all multimedia content.
• This content will include social media, video boards and other internal video needs.
• Help Director of Video Services with staff assignments to the event coverage schedule for all athletic home events, special events within Athletics and other events as assigned.
• This will include night and weekend work throughout the year and could also include travel.
