Job summary

PHM is seeking an Associate Director in Chicago to lead media strategy across healthcare clients within Publicis Groupe's network. The role focuses on negotiating cable buys, developing recommendations, and guiding teams to allocate and bill effectively from buy to air.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in media, strong quantitative and communication skills, and proficiency with industry tools. You will oversee allocations, analyses, and risk management while collaborating across departments

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in media, national broadcast preferred; online video is a plus.
  • Strong quantitative skills, including analytical abilities and math proficiency.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical proficiency with Mediaocean, MBOX, Nielsen Net Rating, Comscore, AdRelevance, eMarketer, Forrester, Integral Ad Science, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate cable purchases and oversee allocations.
  • Create recommendation documents for key stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver POV/position papers on opportunities.
  • Oversee brand allocations and corporate ownership.
  • Manage Tardiis allocations and ensure schedule integrity.
  • Oversee billing discrepancies and reconciliation.
  • Check that schedules are input correctly and timely.
  • Create documents for Mission Control and post-buy analyses.
  • Review and assist in post-buy analysis and ADU package assessments.

Overview

The Associate Director is responsible for executing strategies including negotiating scatter needs NS analyzing the need for implementing allocation and billing tools to facilitate smooth transition from buy to air. The AD is also responsible for the training and guidance of Managers and Associates in all aspects of their tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Negotiate cable purchases
  • Create recommendation documents

Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in media, national broadcast preferred; online video is a plus
  • Strong quantitative skills, including analytical abilities and math proficiency
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Technical proficiency, particularly with the following tools:
    • Mediaocean, MBOX
    • Nielsen Net Rating, Comscore, AdRelevance, eMarketer, Forrester, etc.
    • Third-party ad measurement and traffic tools (e.g.Integral Ad Science)
    • Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work successfully with teams, handle multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines under pressure
  • Demonstrates leadership skills
  • Stronger than average negotiation skills due to high volume of scatter
  • Account industry knowledge helpful, but not required

Compensation Range: USD $75,050.00 - USD $107,835.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
