Job summary

Bowdoin College is seeking an Associate Director to lead THRIVE initiatives, with responsibility for Geoffrey Canada Scholars and THRIVE Ambassadors. The role reports to the Director of THRIVE and drives long‑term planning and program excellence.

The Associate Director will foster an inclusive community, collaborate with faculty and staff, and create opportunities for students to explore goals and career pathways. Some weekends/evenings may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong background in program management, supervision, and long-term strategic planning.
• Knowledge of student development and higher education administration.
• Excellent written, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to convene and facilitate meetings and events involving students, staff, and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide long-term strategic planning for THRIVE initiatives and leadership for GCS and THRIVE Ambassadors.
• Cultivate an inclusive space and collaborate with faculty and staff to support student goals and pathways.
• Translate vision into well-run programs and sustain engagement across campus.
