We are seeking an Associate Director, Sustainability Marketing & Capability Building based in Greenwood, SC – Remote, to lead our sustainability marketing strategies within the Capsule & Health Ingredients (CHI) division on a global scale. This role offers the opportunity to drive impactful sustainability initiatives and foster a culture of environmental responsibility across departments.

Key responsibilities:

• Serve as the sustainability focal point for CHI Commercial and Marketing functions (Sales, Business Development, Marketing).
• Collaborate with our center of applied sustainability to translate Lonza CHI’s sustainability strategies into clear value propositions.
• Work with sales, supply chain, and product management to communicate sustainability efforts and develop partnerships.
• Understand customer sustainability needs and incorporate them into product requirements and value propositions.
• Lead customer workshops or audits focused on sustainability.
• Stay informed on market and technology trends in sustainability through research and conferences.
• Address market and customer sustainability requests in collaboration with the CHI center of applied sustainability.
• Participate in assessments to advance life cycle initiatives such as emission reduction and water conservation.
• Develop engagement strategies and training content with internal teams like HR and communications.
• Enhance global and local sustainability knowledge among CHI employees.
• Advocate for sustainability internally and externally, raising awareness among stakeholders.

Key requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in sustainability, business administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience leading sustainability projects and marketing initiatives.
• Ability to travel regularly to CHI sites and international conferences.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are advantageous.

The anticipated full-time annual salary range for this remote position is $130,000 - $221,000, commensurate with experience and location. Benefits include performance bonuses, medical and dental coverage, 401k, life insurance, disability coverage, paid time off, and more.
